Natural Ways to Stop Headache and Migraine Triggers
In his book, Food Is Your Best Medicine, Henry Bieler, M.D., in my opinion, provided the most rational justification for migraines and headaches. The reason I say this is because I used several of his suggestions with my mother, who endured years of migraines, and her headaches did go away. Reducing exposure to hazardous substances and enhancing your body's capacity to detoxify substances in your liver and digestive system are, in Dr. Bieler's opinion, the greatest ways to prevent migraines.
Dr. Bieler explains a migraine headache as follows:
"Food consumed now is roughly as far from a person's natural diet as a person is from their prehistoric jungles. However, the digestive system and liver of man are still very similar to those of his distant predecessors. His liver is still effective if he only eats natural foods; however, if he stuffs himself with breads, hot dogs, chilli, and doughnuts while sipping coffee, his indignant liver is unable to perform its duties. The quality of his liver as an organ at birth will determine whether it degenerates quickly or slowly.

But it will eventually break down, and when it is unable to remove and neutralise toxins from the blood, a second line of defence must be employed. The endocrine glands continue to carry out this protection by attempting to channel these toxins into other eliminative organs. The pituitary, which is located near the base of the brain, the thyroid, which is located in the neck, and the adrenals, which fit like a cap over each kidney, are the main endocrine glands used in this endeavour.
Then, internal secretory glands are compelled to produce additional secretion by being pushed into hyperfunction. However, because the volume of blood entering a gland is exactly proportional to the amount of secretion that gland produces, the additional blood supply causes the gland to grow, which frequently has negative physical effects.

Since the pituitary gland is enclosed in a bony cup at the base of the skull, it has little room to swell. Very little swelling can occur without putting pressure on a gland inside its box. These pressure-related symptoms may be concerning. The pressure can result in four separate pathological states: migraine headache, the common types of epilepsy, acromegaly, and blindness, all of which are brought on by a toxaemia of the blood.
In many of the cases of migraine and epilepsy in my files, the agonising symptoms have been stopped, and the body has been made whole again. This was made possible by relieving the liver of the burdensome nutritional load, which allowed it to cleanse the blood and regain the proper balance between the pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal glands. Advice for overcoming depression
Simple carbohydrates are the deadliest poisons that cause migraine migraines. "Alcoholic sort of headache," according to Dr. Bieler. Alcohol is not obtained by consuming alcoholic beverages. It is produced inside the individual's stomach. It comes from the carbohydrates and starches in that person's diet fermenting. This alcohol is more dangerous than spirits in bottles. "Sour mash and other items that are extremely hazardous to the body are among the constituents of alcohol generated in the intestines." (p. 45)
All grains (such as rice and pasta), breads, cookies, chocolate, etc. should be avoided by migraineurs. Consume vegetables, fish, nuts, seeds, brown rice, yams, and low-glycemic fruits like apples, oranges, cherries, peaches, and berries. With this diet, the excess of toxins will be removed, and migraines won't return.
